The Graduate Nurses’ Foundation of Sri Lanka (GNFSL) successfully conducted a promotional session for approximately 150 final-year nursing undergraduates at the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Ruhuna on 5th May 2026..
The session was delivered by Dr M.R.S. Jayathilake, President of GNFSL, and Dr D.M.A.P. Dissanayake, Secretary of GNFSL. The programme was organized by Prof. Nirmala Rathnayake, Head of the Department of Nursing, University of Ruhuna.
During the session, Dr Jayathilake shared what GNFSL is, how and why it was established, activities done by GNFSL and finally the benefits of joining GNFSL and invited the students to begin their professional journey with the Foundation as Associate Members. Dr Dissanayake demonstrated the process of applying for membership through the online portal and guided students on the registration procedure.
The session was completed successfully with active student engagement and valuable discussions on professional development and opportunities for graduate nurses.
