PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear members,
I am truly honored and humbled to serve as the President of Graduate Nurses’ Foundation of Sri Lanka (GNFSL). That being said, I feel you have entrusted me with a huge responsibility as the 8th President of GNFSL for the next two years; 2024/2025. At the same time, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for believing in me, inspiring me and encouraging me to accept this prestigious position. And also, I wish to convey my sincere appreciation for the immediate past President and office bearers for their unwavering dedication and deep commitment to the GNFSL though out.
At the outset, I would like to emphasize that we have many challenges ahead, some of which include growing our membership, enhancing the quality of nursing care, promoting nursing research, establishing a College of Nurses, and improving the public image of nursing in society. My intention as the new President is to work hard to address these challenges. I am confident that if we unite, we can successfully achieve these goals. I feel, through teamwork and collaboration, we can accomplish much for the betterment of the foundation.
I therefore invite all graduate nurses across the country to join us and work together for the betterment of the foundation and a better future for nurses in Sri Lanka. I promise to do my best for you and the GNFSL and request your support, guidance, and advice moving forward. Together, we will continue the positive momentum of the GNFSL and foster advancements in nursing in Sri Lanka.
With kind regards.
Dr. M.R.S. Jayathilake
